Greetings

Some quick facts about myself are essential in order to understand me and my work. In this page you may see in headlines all the things that define me as engineer.

Welcome

I am Stelios Papagrigoriou, Undergraduate Student of Technical University of Crete. I hope you enjoy the tour in my webpage and get to know me and my work.

About me

My full name is Stelios (Stylianos) Papagrigoriou, I was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete.
In 2006, I moved to Chania in order to study at the Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department of Technical University of Crete while I estimate to have my 5-year engineering diploma by Spring 2012.

I am a young, energetic, soon-to-be graduate, seeking a career that suits my professional skills and interests. I enjoy a lot being amidst problems, brainstorming for a solution and I enjoy even more when I provide it.

At the moment, I'm working on finishing my diploma thesis on Data Streams in Bioinformatics. From October onwards I will be staying in London, following the MSc Advance Computing programm in Imperial College.

Research Interests

Although my Degree gives me familiarity with quite a wide range of Computing (Electronics - Computer Architecture, Computer Science and Telecommunications), I intend to focus on Computer Science and Software.

I am rather interested in:

In addition to the above, I am in constant search for something fresh and exciting, either that be expanding something already familiar or getting started with something completely new!

For a list of my skills and accomplishments so far, please, check my curriculum vitae or download it here here.

Personal Interests

I am trying to be as active as possible and try out new things all the time. My passe-temps include Travelling, Swimming, Parkour, Reading - (Science) Fiction mostly -, Table and Computer Games.

I love good food and I love meeting new Cultures/Trends. Because of that I am trying to travel as much as possible. Jogging/Hiking in the nature is also one of my hobbies, a hobby that seems to help me deal with difficult or stressful situations.

All in all, I am always up for a new challenge!
