About Me

I've been enjoying problem-solving and putting my analytical skills to the test for as long as I can remember. From a young age, some of my favorite activities were to be given calculations to perform, riddles to solve, or any other task that would keep me mentally occupied.

Nowadays, I'm actively using those personality traits of mine in computer science. More specifically, I'm a software engineer interested in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Optimization, and Cybersecurity. In the past 5 years of my studies at the Technical University of Crete, I have familiarized myself with a wide range of programming languages, from low-level MIPS/x86 Assembly and C to high-level C++, Java, Python, and SQL. I'm still at a very early stage in my career and therefore I'm open to a variety of job opportunities.

Some of my key strengths that bring value to the table include mental agility, adjustability, perfectionism, creativity, and philomathy. When there is enough time available before a deadline, I like to efficiently generalize my work so that it can be used to solve a larger set of problems than the one currently being considered. Last but not least, I'm able to grasp concepts deeply and hence apply them in a variety of instances by effectively identifying known patterns in new challenges that I haven't encountered in the past.

Most of these mentioned skills are highlighted by my achievements. Moreover, I am regularly participating in competitive programming competitions on 2 platforms. The first platform, leetcode, is one of the most popular platforms for techinal interview preparation in the field of software engineering and I'm currently in the 90th percentile. The second platform, codeforces, is a more competitive platform with users that enjoy competitive programming as a sport and I'm currently in the 76th percentile.
