I’m currently an Undergraduate Student in Technical University of Crete and my interests lay in fields of software development, electrical engineering, automation, networking, IoT, alarm/CCTV systems, project management and many others. In the near future I am planning to begin with web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for both desktop and mobile use.

My interests and skills

Java Development

High expertise level in complicated software projects, based on models of businesses, associated with relational SQL databases. Full-stack developed desktop apps based on a microservices model, able to communicate with other machines in the LAN and occasionally WAN.

Server-side hosting projects

Set-up of containerized (using Docker) or co-running applications (e.g FreeNAS, Asterisk, 3CX, OpenMediaVault, UNMS, OpenSwan, DNS-DHCP servers, Pi-Hole) on one physical machine. Network and resource-usage configurations.

Functional Programming

Development of software in C, projects on OS kernels (Linux-like kernel). Multithreading, Concurrency control, Streams, Sockets, Peripherals.

Linux

Linux used in end-user machine or server-side setups. Distros used: Debian 9.0 - 10.0, Ubuntu 16.04 - 18.04 - 20.04. Great expertise in terminal usage.

UI Development for desktop apps

Design of graphic user interfaces, with respect to ideal user experience, for desktop software.

Home and business networking

Rack design and installation, VLANs, Mesh WiFi, domain servers, VPN Servers, NAS servers, PBX servers, Layered-typed installations, structured cabling, access control, DNS and DHCP servers.
