- Quality control for the mineral industry (on-line quality
control, statistical quality assurance methods, mine
planning/production
scheduling and quality control).
- Mine planning and design (continuous and conventional
surface mining systems, quarrying and reclamation
techniques).
- Health and safety in mining, quarrying and in
constructions (tunnels, excavations ).
- Application of simulation techniques, including statistical
and geostatistical methods, neural networks, fuzzy and
expert systems, in diverse sectors of the mineral industry
(exploration, exploitation, quality control, assessment of occupational and environmental risk).
