Welcome

Hello there! My name is Manos Alimpertis (my 'official' name is Emmanouil, but nobody really calls me that), a second year graduate student at the ECE School in Technical University of Crete. This is my homepage where you can find information on my current work at Telecom Lab, TUC, research interests, demos etc.

About me

I was born and raised in Athens, Greece, where I spent all my school years. After finishing school in 2006, I moved from Athens to the beautiful city of Chania, Crete, in order to study for my Diploma at the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE), in Technical University of Crete (TUC). I joined the research group of Prof. Aggelos Bletsas in 2010 and under his supervision I earned my Diploma in Oct. 2012. Currently, I am a second year M.Sc student and research assistant at the same School. My thesis title is "Source and target localization by handheld & smart sensors of RF and backscatter signals" and simultaneously I participate on ERC-04-BLASE Research project. I have been fortunate to work on interdisciplinary topics and diverse real world problems since I enjoy the combination of diverse real world engineering problems with state-of-the-art theoretical frameworks; a really exciting and challenging experience.
