There is a wealth of geological information published on Aegina and the various islands of the South Aegean Volcanic Arc. Some important igneous environments of SAVA also contain archaeological sites through time. To name a few: Melos/Phylokapi; Santorini/Akrotiri; and Aegina/Kolonna and the Temple of Aphaia Complex.
