Brief Summary

Marios KASTRINAKIS was born and raised in the city of Athens, Greece. He received his 5-years Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering with excellence, from School of Electrical and Computer Engineer (ECE), at Technical University of Crete (TUC). As undergraduate student, he focused on the area of computer networks and in his diploma thesis, he worked on design and implementation of real-time prediction models for H.264 video traffic transmission over wireless networks. In 2017, he received his Master of Science in Electronic and Computer Engineering, from School of ECE/TUC, where he gained experience in the fields of Optoelectronics and Imaging Diagnostics. More specifically, he worked on development of novel spectral methods that enhance imaging resolution in brightfield / fluorescence microscopy and quantify microscopy procedures in Leukemia diagnosis. He is skilled in MATLAB\Simulink, Python, Image Processing, Multi/Hyper-spectral Imaging Techniques and Data Analysis for Biomedical Applications. He is the recipient of four fellowships and excellence awards during his undergraduate and postgraduate studies and also, he is the co-author of two peer-reviewed journal scientific publication and the author of two research studies.
