This is the student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The aim of the group is to promote knowledge, academia and technological progress, leaving aside religious or political ambitions.
TUC SPE Student Chapter
This is a student branch of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers. The mission of the SPE is the collection and dissemination of technical knowledge on the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons. SPE provides opportunities for engineers and geoscientists to improve their theoretical, technical and professional competence. Student branches promote SPE activities at the university level.
TUC GameDevTeam
TUC GameDevTeam (Game Development Team) is the student team of the Technical University of Crete that deals with Game Development using the Unity Engine and multimedia such as github.com and trello.com to share the sub-sections of the open source project that they run. Consisting of small sub-groups (Artists / Developers / Game Designers / Sound Designers) the group's projects are developing live on the cloud using the Unity Teams platform. Cinematographic Team of the Technical University of Crete - Alliasi
Following in the footsteps of the original film team of the Technical University of Crete and continuing its tradition, the Film Team of the Technical University of Crete - Allliasi starts the screenings again. The purpose of the team, through the screening of old and modern films, is to entertain and inform about the technical characteristics required for the completion of a film, as well as the evolution of cinema globally and domestically.

The Radio Station of the Technical University of Crete is one of the first university radio stations in Greece. It was created in 1995 by a group of students from the polytechnic community.

This is the dance group of the Technical University of Crete. It is an independent, non-profit, student group that aims to promote various types of dance and consists mainly of students of the Technical University of Crete. The group operates a department of Greek traditional dances with the main concern of spreading, promoting and highlighting the tradition through dance, manners and customs of each place. SAVES2
The aim of the team is to inform and raise awareness through a non-profit campaign to students in various European countries about climate change. An important goal of SAVES2 is to help students reduce the cost of their energy bills, to highlight the importance of Energy Performance Certificates and in general ways to improve the thermal comfort and energy efficiency of their accommodation, in order to cope with the energy conditions. poverty they are likely to live in. The team has prepared a series of simple and daily tips that will help students learn about energy saving issues and reduce their bills.
Students may have meals for free at the University Restaurant provided that they fulfil certain financial and social requirements with regard to their personal or family status and that they apply to the Directorate of Academic Affairs. A considerable number of undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as Erasmus students have free meals while the rest of the students have meals at extremely low prices. In the current academic year, students who are not entitled to free meals, pay 0,90€ for breakfast, 2,60€ for lunch and 2,02€ for dinner, per day. Students may also take their meals in packages if they wish for no extra charge. Apart from students, University personnel (faculty members, administrative employees) and visitors very often choose the university Restaurant for their meals, paying the same prices as mentioned above, per meal (it includes main course, salad, cheese, dessert).

Sport Activites @TUC
TUC provides University students with a wide range of sports programmes and recreational activities. Student participation in sports is optional; however, students at TUC are encouraged to take part in sports and recreational activities not only in order to keep themselves fit but also represent the University in Pan-Hellenic Student Championships and University Championships, in which TUC has a particularly successful record. All programmes aim to improve the quality of life of the students through sports, games, tournaments and physical activity. Some of the activities that you can do at TUC are:5x5 soccer ball, basketball, volleyball, field sports, swimming, tennis and fitness programms. Counselling & Psychological Support Office @TUC
The Counselling & Psychological Support Office was established in 2006 following a decision of the Rector’s Council of the Technical University of Crete. The Office is supported by the Directorate of Academic Affairs and it is located at the building complex of the Mineral Resources Engineering Department. The hours that the office operate are: Monday to Friday from 09:00 until 13:30.

The University Hall of Residences, built on TUC Campus in Kounoupidiana, can accommodate up to 304 students. There are three main buildings with 70 single-bed rooms and 4 double bed rooms, all of which are furnished, have private bathrooms, phone for incoming calls and use of phone cards, as well as Wi-Fi Internet access. There are 23 common areas for all the students staying at the Halls with lounges, TV sets, refrigerators, kitchenettes, phones and lifts. The main purpose of the library is the strengthening and support of the educational and research activities of the University, the Management, Provision and availability of specialized information to the wider national and international community and its substantial participation in activities related to education and culture. In parallel with its operation, it supports the administrative work at the Technical University of Crete and provides information to users who do not belong to the Polytechnic Community. The Institutional Repository (IR) of the Technical University of Crete is the ICT infrastructure for collecting, managing, organizing, disseminating and preserving in the long term, the intellectual output produced by it's members. It is an Open Access Repository , which means that all submitted items are freely accessible by the general public, under a Creative Commons License.
