The coursework in the Mineral Resources Engineering Department
(MRED) focuses in particular on industrial minerals and energy
resources, which play an important role in the development
of the Greek economy of Greece, thus covering the present
and future needs of the country.
The changing demands for minerals influence the development
and utilization of modern methods for exploration and exploitation.
The dynamic changes in the market conditions and the available
technology generate the need for training engineers who are
able to face successfully new challenges. Hence, the courses
offered in the Department aim to deliver a balanced mix of
fundamental skills and knowledge of specialized fields to
ensure that the graduates have the skills and flexibility
required for success in the very competitive global market.
