The Office of Career Services (O.C.S.) has a central location on the TUC campus. The O.C.S. provides a gateway to academic institutions and the job market in Greece and abroad. The goal of the O.C.S. is to assist the students and graduates of the Technical University of Crete (TUC) with successful career planning and job placement.

The Office of Career Services provides the following services to students and graduates:

  • information and guidance on postgraduate studies in Greek and foreign universities, scholarships, and seminars
  • information on available job positions, companies' profiles and trends of the job market
  • guidance on career related issues such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, job search techniques and career planning

In order to achieve its goal, the Office of Career Services engages in the following activities:

  • publishes and distributes a variety of brochures on career and job placement issues
  • develops data bases that include information on company profiles and job positions
  • provides various information tools through the Career Resources Library and its web page
  • facilitates participation in and organization of seminars, conferences and exhibitions
  • conducts studies on the employability of the TUC graduates in the job market
  • collaborates with all the Departments of the TUC, with other Universities, with the Technical Chamber of Greece, and with educational and employment organizations in Greece and abroad
  • provides information to companies and organizations regarding the profile of the TUC graduates
  • supports collaboration networks with other academic institutions and employment organizations in Greece and abroad
  • informs the University community on current labor market trends and on career prospects for the TUC graduates.
